Policosanol is a blend of fatty alcohols derived from natural plant waxes. NOW Policosanol contains several long chain fatty alcohols (LCFA’s), including Triacontanol, Octacosanol and Hexacosanol.

In vitro and animal studies have shown that these fatty alcohol constituents possess considerable antioxidant activity, inhibit lipid peroxidation and support healthy immune function. Furthermore, Policosanol can support cardiovascular health through these and other mechanisms.
